Day 1: Yangon (-/L/-)

After that visit to Yangon Colonial Style city center. Sule Pagoda” With unique architectural features 2000 years old, is located in the center of Yangon near City Hall and Mahabandoola Independent Monument Park, within a traffic circle. So, you can see “Window sightseeing”. Heading to “Chaukhtathgyi Pagoda” it is the fourth largest colossal reclining image in Myanmar and 67m long. “Then transfer to hotel for check in and take a short rest. No visit to Yangon would be complete without spending some time at the stunning Shwedagon Pagoda, one the most venerable places of worship in Myanmar. Take in the array of gold and gems which light up around the giant golden dome as the sun slowly sets around you. Watch as the locals come here to make offerings before they return to your hotel.

Day 2: Yangon-Mawlamyine (B/L/-)

classic myanmar tour 02After breakfast (08:00 AM) drive to Mawlamyine(6 hours). Mawlamyine is the third largest city in Myanmar after Yangon and Mandalay .It is the capital of Mon State with a population of almost 300,000 people. Formerly known as Moulmein, it was once a thriving teak port and the administrative capital of British Lower Burma. In the evening arrive and check-in hotel. After that visit Seindon Mibaya Kyaung, this was originally Queen Sein Don’s residence. The much-loved Queen of King Mindon donated this mansion to her revered abbot on her death in 1905. This monastery was founded in 1860 when she left Mandalay due to the British occupation and later became a nun.
The building contains many features of Mandalay Palace including a scale replica of the Lion Throne. The corridors are lines with gilded carved figures and the interior is decorated with intricately-carved, thickly-gilded floral designs. After that visit Kyaikthanlan pagoda built in 875 AD and thought to be the site from where Rudyard Kipling wrote his famous poem, 'The Road to Mandalay' , watch the sunset from view point. After that Mahamuni pagoda and walking along the strand road.Overnight in Mawlamyine.

Day 3: Mawlamyine sightseeing (B/L/-)

classic myanmar tour 03After breakfast in your hotel, drive to Thanphyuzayat; 64 km south of Mawlamyine, noted for Burma-Siam Railway called the Death Railway and the Allied War Cemetery. Tour proceeds to Kyaikhami Yele Pagoda and Set-se beach enjoy the amazing beauty of the bay of Mottama. Going back way, proceeds sightseeing at Win Sein Tawya, the world biggest reclining Buddha image and visit to Mudon’s hand weaving workshops. Return to Mawlamyine for overnight stay.

Day 4: Mawlamyine- Hpa An (B/L/-)

On the way visit Kha Yon Cave, Yathe Pyan (Hermit) Cave and Kawkung caves where you can see the full of Buddha images. Afternoon visit the iconic sights of Mt Zwe Kabin, Mount Zwekabin: the tallest of a chain of limestone-mountains, 2372 feet is crowned by a stupa, said to contain a hair of the Buddha , Kyaukkalat, market and enjoy sunset from Shwe Saryan pagoda just beside the river. Overnight in Hpa-an.

Day 5: Hpa An-Kyeikhtiyo (B/L/-)

classic myanmar tour 05After breakfast at hotel, drive to Thaton, on the way visit Bayin Nyi cave and hot spring then drive to Thaton, former capital of the Mon Kingdom. Then drive to Kyaikhtiyo. Kyeikhtiyo Pagoda; also known as Golden Rock, 1,100 meters (3,600 ft) above sea level. “Kyeik Htiyo” means "pagoda upon a hermit's head". It is the most attraction for tourists.
It is famous for Kyeikhtiyo pagoda on the top of gilded boulder by devotees and like a precariously perched on the edge of a hill. Arrive Kyeikhtiyo Base camp at the foot of the hill, takes a truck to Mt. Yathe and then Mt. Yathe to the Golden Rock. Arrive hill top, walk to Pagoda otherwise you can offering food & fruit to Pagoda and can do meditation at flat ground around a pagoda.

Day 6: Kyeikhtiyo-Bago-Yangon (B/L/-)

Bago, formerly known as Hanthawaddy, is a city and the capital of the Bago Region in Burma. Upon arrival, we visit Kyakhatwine Monastery, an eminent teaching center for hundreds of monks from neighboring regions and the Mon-style Shwemawdaw Pagoda, 374 feet (114m) tall, higher than Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon. Credited with being the tallest pagoda in Myanmar and the most outstanding religious monument. Although it has been through many renovations due to several earthquakes, some of the original structure, from the 10th century is still present today. You will also see the 180 feet (55m) long Shwe Thar Lyaung reclining Buddha, which was lost for hundreds of years, before being rediscovered by the British, during their rule.We continue our tour to the four seated Buddhas at Kyaikpun Pagoda and the site of Kanbawzathadi Palace. After that drive to the Allied War Cemetery in Htauk Kyant - final resting place of thousands of Allied Soldiers who perished during the World War II campaign in Myanmar. After that drive back to Yangon and transfer to your hotel.

Day 7: Yangon-Mandalay by flight (B/L/-)

This morning you will take a sightseeing tour of Mandalay which includes Mahamuni, a life like Buddha image; visiting a gold leaf making center. to see the gold leaf still being made by hand; marble sculpture and tapestry workshops and Zaycho Market. In the afternoon visit the Old Palace grounds; Kuthodaw Pagoda, known as the world’s largest book for its 729 marble slabs inscribed with the Buddha’s Doctrine; Golden Palace Monastery, noted for its exquisite wood carvings; Atumashi Monastery; and Kyauktawgyi Pagoda, where a huge image is carved out of a single block of marble. At sunset enjoy the panoramic view of the city from Mandalay Hill.

Day 8: Mandalay – Amarapura – The Irrawaddy – Mingun (B/L/-)

classic myanmar tour 08Take an hour-long boat ride to Mingun, a village on the west bank of the river (about 11km away). Mingun’s highlights include the huge, but unfinished, Pahtodawgyi Pagoda, the Mingun bell which, weighing 90 tons, is probably the largest ringing bell in the world, and Myatheintan Pagoda with seven concentric terraces at its base. From Mingun you will continue on to Ava, located 30 minutes south of Mandalay, and known in the west as the “Kingdom of Ava”. When you reach the tributary you will cross it on the ferry. Travel by pony-cart around Ava to Nanmyint Tower which gives a birds’ eye view of the mighty Ayeyarwaddy River, Bagaya wooden monastery, and Aungmyaybonza Monastery made of brick and stucco. Though the Royal Palace has gone, the pagodas, temples and monasteries still remain. Proceed to Sagaing Hill covered with about 600 white-washed pagodas and monasteries. The Hill is famous for meditation, and is home to 3000 monks and 100 meditation centers. Then visit the Soon-Oo-Pon-Nya-Shin & U-Min-Thone-Sae Pagodas. Finish your journey with a trip to the previous kingdom of Amarapura. Visit a breathtaking walk across the U Bein Bridge, a 200 year old curved wooden bridge with beautiful views as the sun sets out over the lake.

Day 9: Mandalay – Bagan by boat (B/L/-)

The journey on Ayeyarwaddy (Irrawaddy) River lets you have a memorable experience. The river provides you an opportunity to see one of the most interesting areas in Myanmar and the boat is well-equipped observation and sundeck, a place to relax and having sunburn offer the spectacular views of historical monuments and the ways of local livings along the famous Irrawaddy River.It stops at Myinmu and Pakkoku respectively able to join the passenger en-route. Arrive Bagan early evening and transfer to hotel in Bagan.

Day 10: Bagan (B/L/-)

classic myanmar tour 10After breakfast at hotel visit Nyaung U Market, Shwezigon Pagoda (the prototype for later Myanmar Stupas), Kyansittha Umin, Wet-Kyi-Inn Gubyaukgyi Temple with its exquisite mural painting from the 13th Century, and Htilominlo Temple. After lunch, visit a fascinating lacquer-ware workshop before continuing on to Manuha Temple, built by the exiled King Manuha, before stopping at Nanphaya, said to have been the residence of King Manuha. You will also visit Ananda Temple, an architectural masterpiece, as well as the Oakkyaung Monastery, which is decorated with multi-colored mural paintings. End the day with some breath-taking sunset views from the terraces of an ancient temple.

Day 11: Bagan – Mt. Popa – Kalaw (B/L/-)

Popa, known as the abode of Nats (spirits) – a collection of 37 magical spirits both feared and honoured by some Myanmar people and the nat museum, which houses 37 life-size nat statues sculpted from teak. It’s time to climb for 777 steps to the summit. After that, drive to Kalaw (about 5hrs drive).

Day 12: Kalaw – Pindaya – Inle Lake(B/L/-)

classic myanmar tour 12After breakfast, drive to Pindaya Cave, famous for the thousands of centuries-old Buddha images of various sizes, some carved into the face of the rock and some deposited in niches in the walls. Next visit a home based paper and umbrella making industry where you will be able to see all of the steps in the process starting with the gathering of local plants to the finished product – beautiful, decorative paper umbrellas. After that drive to Inle Lake. Known as the most beautiful lake in Myanmar.

Day 13: Inle Lake – Indein (B/L/-)< /p>

classic myanmar tour 13After breakfast at hotel, we continue our sightseeing in Inle Lake, visit Phaungdawoo Pagoda which houses the five most revered Buddha Images in the southern Shan States and Jumping Cat Monastery, called that after its trained jumping cats. Also make a stop at a family run business making cheroot by hand.
We will visit the fascinating village of Indein, with it’s complex of ancient shrines and stupas and walk though exotic colonnades of stairways and shop stalls. We’ll visit the “long neck” tribal women, and weaving and craft villages perched on stilts. See the lake’s unique “leg rowers” – the Intha people row standing up with one leg wrapped around an oar. It is a feast for the senses and a photographer’s dream.

Day 14: Inle – Ngapali

Here, in the Bay of Bengal is the beautiful beach of Ngapali with its charming fishing village and coconut trees. Relax on the beach.

At the market you will find a whole variety of interesting Burmese souvenirs, from lacquer ware to gems & jewelry – bargain at the stores to fully experience the Burmese market atmosphere! Visit the over 100 year old beautiful Rangoon Synagogue. In there you will have the opportunity to meet with Trustee of the Synagogue to learn the Jewish Life in the Pagoda Land. Drive through the city and observe the influences of other cultures in the region.
