DETAIL ITINERARY

Day 1: Yangon arrival and City Tour

sm 501 06 On arrival you will be welcomed by SM Myanmar tour guide and transferred to your hotel for check-in (Normal check in time 14:00). After that visit to Yangon Colonial Style city center. Sule Pagoda” With unique architectural features 2000 years old, is located in the center of Yangon near City Hall and Mahabandoola Independent Monument Park, within a traffic circle. So, you can see “Window sightseeing”. Heading to “Chaukhtathgyi Pagoda” it is the fourth largest colossal reclining image in Myanmar and 67m long. “Then transfer to hotel for check in and take a short rest. Then “Shopping at Bogyoke Market (Scott) Market” with hundreds of food, clothes, handicrafts and gems stores. No visit to Yangon would be complete without spending some time at the stunning Shwedagon Pagoda, one the most venerable places of worship in Myanmar. Take in the array of gold and gems which light up around the giant golden dome as the sun slowly sets around you. Watch as the locals come here to make offerings before they return to your hotel.

Day 2: Yangon – Mawlamyine

sm 501 02 After breakfast (08:00 AM) drive to Mawlamyine (6 hours). Mawlamyine is the third largest city in Myanmar after Yangon and Mandalay .It is the capital of Mon State with a population of almost 300,000 people. Formerly known as Moulmein, it was once a thriving teak port and the administrative capital of British Lower Burma. In the evening arrive and check-in hotel. Seindon Mibaya Kyaung, where King Mindon's wife sought refuge After that visit Kyaikthanlan pagoda built in 875 AD and thought to be the site from where Rudyard Kipling wrote his famous poem, 'The Road to Mandalay' , watch the sunset from view point. After that Mahamuni pagoda and walking along the strand road. Overnight in Mawlamyine.

Day 3: Mawlamyine-Hpa An

sm 501 04 After breakfast drive to Mudon (20km -1hour). On the way visit the largest reclining Buddha image in the world, Win Sein Taw Ya, is situated about 20 km south of Mawlamyine on the main road to Mudon. Stop at Kyaukdalone, a Buddhist stupa and a Hindu temple facing each other. After that drive to Hpa-an, the capital city of Kayin State. On the way to Hpa-an visit Kha Yon and Kawkung caves where you can see the full of Buddha images. Afternoon visit the iconic sights of Mt Zwe Kabin, whose foothills are lined with thousands of identical Buddha statues and the 'Cave of Ten Thousand Buddhas', Kyaukkalat, market and enjoy sunset from Shwe Saryan pagoda just beside the river. Overnight in Hpa-an.

Day 4: Hpa An-Golden Rock

sm 501 05 After breakfast drive to Thaton, on the way visit Bayin Nyi cave and then drive to Thaton, former capital of the Mon Kingdom. Then drive to Kyaikhtiyo. Arrive the Kimpun base camp and take the open truck to go up till Hermit Hill. From Hermit Hill we have to walk up about 1 hour to reach the Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda. Kyaikhtiyo, mystical pagoda stands on a gold gilded boulder, precariously perched on the edge of the hill over 1100 km above sea –level. Overnight at hotel.

Day 5: Golden Rock- Yangon

sm 501 07 After breakfast at hotel, take the truck to base camp. From base camp drive to Bago. On the way visit Bago, an ancient capital of Mon Kingdom in 15th century. Visit Shwe-tha-lyaung reclining Buddha (55 meters long), Shwe maw daw Pagoda, Hinthagone pagoda, 28 meters high huge Buddha image of Kyaikpun pagoda.
