Detail Itinerary

Day 1: Yangon arrival and City Tour

day tour 02On arrival you will be welcomed by SM Myanmar tour guide and transferred to your hotel for check-in (Normal check in time 14:00). After that visit to Yangon Colonial Style city center. Sule Pagoda” With unique architectural features 2000 years old, is located in the center of Yangon near City Hall and Mahabandoola Independent Monument Park, within a traffic circle. So, you can see “Window sightseeing”. Heading to “Chaukhtathgyi Pagoda” it is the fourth largest colossal reclining image in Myanmar and 67m long. “Then transfer to hotel for check in and take a short rest. Then “Shopping at Bogyoke Market (Scott) Market” with hundreds of food, clothes, handicrafts and gems stores. No visit to Yangon would be complete without spending some time at the stunning Shwedagon Pagoda,one the most venerable places of worship in Myanmar. Take in the array of gold and gems which light up around the giant golden dome as the sun slowly sets around you. Watch as the locals come here to make offerings before they return to your hotel.

Day 2: Yangon – Sittwe – Mrauk U

forgotten 08Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to the airport in Yangon for your domestic flight to Sittwe. On arrival in Sittwe, cruise upstream along Kaladan River on boat trip to Mrauk U (appx: 5 hours), a major archaeological site in Myanmar. Mrauk U was once an important trading post with links to Portugal, Holland, Arabia, Persia and India. Almost forgotten, you’ll have the chance to rediscover this town and see this multi-national influence on the city. Arriving in Mrauk U in the evening, you will witness the former grandiose of this ancient town, famed as Myanmar’s second eminent temple site after Bagan.

Day 3: Mrauk U

forgotten 09After breakfast sightseeing in Mrauk U with a visit to the market, the ruins of the Royal Palace and the Archaeological Museum. After lunch, visit Shitthaung Temple, Mrauk U’s most important monument, built in 1535 by 1,000 architects and containing a remarkable collection of Arakanese Buddha images and reliefs. Continue to the multi-spire Andawthein Ordination Hall, with its unique stone carvings, the circular Ratanabon Pagoda, Dukkhanthein, a huge fortress-like temple with vaulted passages containing interesting stone sculptures and Laymyetnha, the first pagoda erected in Mrauk U in 1430.

Day 4: Mrauk U - Sittwe

forgotten 10After breakfast depart with local boat from Mrauk U to Sittwe. . Arrive Sittwe and sightseeing, “Payagyi Temple” This temple is situated in the centre of town and features a large plain shed supported by pillars decorated with glass mosaic. “Buddhist Museum” This modest two-storey museum is the best place in Myanmar to view Rakhine Style Buddha images. “View Point” The View Point is a lovely recreational spot where one can enjoy breathing fresh sea breeze. After sightseeing, transfer to hotel.

Day 5: Sittwe – Thandwe by flight , Ngapali Beach

forgotten 12Have breakfast at the hotel and transfer to airport for Sittwe to Thandwe by Domestic flight. Arrive to Thandwe and transfer to hotel. Free for your leisure time at Ngapali beach.

Day 6: Ngapali Beach

After breakfast at hotel transfer to airport for your departure or free for leisure till departure (Check out time 12:00).
